bold Wanderers

Adventure runs deeper for our Bold Wanderers—children aged 7 to 9 years who are ready to stretch their minds, challenge their bodies, and deepen their relationship with the natural world. Running Monday through Friday from June 16 to August 15, each week offers a new rhythm of hands-on learning, discovery, and growth in our beloved outdoor classrooms: Lake Calavera and Buena Vista Park.

While session times may vary by location, each day is grounded in curiosity, community, and a strong sense of place.

Over six enriching weeks, Bold Wanderers will dive deep into the wonders of ecology, environmental science, and creative exploration—all through the lens of outdoor adventure. From tracking wildlife and mapping habitats to asking complex ecological questions, campers will develop critical thinking and inquiry-based learning in nature’s classroom.

Days will be filled with scientific sketching, nature journaling, group problem-solving, and expressive storytelling. Campers will take on team challenges, explore creek beds, identify plant and animal relationships, and co-create art inspired by natural patterns and forms—fostering leadership, resilience, and a strong sense of environmental stewardship.
