Homeschool Enrichment
At Wild Wander Forest School, we offer four immersive, nature-based enrichment programs for kids aged 5-10 years, designed to spark curiosity and deepen learning in core academic areas: Math, Science, Literacy, and Social Studies. Aligned with California State Standards and compatible with charter school funding, these hands-on programs allow homeschool students to build essential skills while exploring the natural world.
Each collective can be taken independently or paired with others for a well-rounded, place-based academic experience. Whether your child is diving into data collection, mapping a story trail, solving math riddles with stones and sticks, or studying traditional land use practices, they’ll be gaining more than academic knowledge—they’ll be building a deeper connection to themselves, their peers, and the world around them.
Give your child the tools to explore, understand, and meaningfully engage with their world—one wild, wonder-filled day at a time.

Our paired Math & Science Enrichment program offers a rich, hands-on learning experience that bridges two essential subjects through nature-based, inquiry-driven exploration. Designed for students in K–4th grade, this integrated series transforms abstract concepts into real-world understanding, grounded in the rhythms of the natural world.
In Math, children explore numeracy, geometry, measurement, and early problem-solving using natural manipulatives, guided projects, and playful, real-life applications. Through pattern-finding in leaves, building forest structures, and mapping trails, students gain confidence and curiosity in mathematical thinking.
In Science, students investigate big questions through seasonal field studies, nature journaling, storytelling, and experiments drawn from the world around them. Aligned with NGSS and California State Science Standards, the curriculum supports scientific thinking, environmental literacy, and a lifelong love of discovery.
Together, these subjects come to life in a way that feels relevant, engaging, and joyful—building strong foundations in critical thinking, observation, and creativity through child-led exploration and outdoor learning.
Our paired Literacy & Social Studies Enrichment program offers a rich, interdisciplinary experience that nurtures strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a deep sense of place. Designed to support the whole child, this integrated series blends language development with storytelling, history, and meaningful exploration of the world around us.
In Literacy, students build foundational reading and writing skills through the Orton-Gillingham approach—an explicit, sequential method tailored to individual learning needs. Children engage in phonics games, nature-based storytelling, guided writing, and multi-sensory literacy stations that spark curiosity and confidence.
In Social Studies, learners explore the past and present through seasonal traditions, community-based projects, and the study of local Indigenous knowledge and cultural practices. Storytelling, arts integration, and place-based learning help children make meaningful connections between themselves, their communities, and the natural world.
Together, these programs provide a nurturing space for children to express their ideas, understand diverse perspectives, and grow into thoughtful communicators and empathetic citizens—guided by skilled educators and rooted in nature-rich, play-based learning.
